

Born on December 4, 1942 in to John Vincent Carey Sr., and Merle Carey, John lived a life devoted to his family and his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
John served his country in the Navy. Later he went into business and began a long career of various entrepreneurial adventures. He owned and operated the Pensacola Greyhound bus station for over 30 years as well as Dependable Motors in Car City in Pensacola until his retirement.
John married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Beth) Mae Rotton Carey, on November 15, 1962. John and Beth were married for 63 years and had two children together, Johnell and John.
John is preceded in death by his grandchild, Caleb Brigman, and daughter-in-law, Danielle Carey. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Mae Carey; daughter Johnell Carey Norris and her husband Ken, son John V Carey III; grandchildren Cody Brigman and his wife Samara, Alex Petkovski and her husband James, John V Carey IV and his wife Carrie, Joshua Carey and his partner Meghan, Allison Carey and her fiancé Sean, Erika Gidley and her husband Joe, Robert White, Michael White and his wife Brianna, and Meghan; and great grandchildren Rinoa, Aerith, Patrick, Isabella, Gianna, Henry, and Adeline; and his beloved dog, Lucy; as well as numerous extended family members, friends, and church family.
A private celebration of life will be held with family.
