

For the last year dementia robbed Judy's speech, her mind and finally her body. But even through these hardships, she was always a positive light in a dark world. She loved on everyone. And everyone loved her in return.
Judy was born in Teague, Texas in 1944. She was homecoming queen and captain of the cheerleading squad at Odessa High School. She graduated from Abilene Christine University with a degree in Education.
She taught elementary education in San Antonio and Houston. She went on to become a Department of Defense teacher on the Army base in Okinawa. It was in Okinawa that she met Army officer, Harry Huelsbeck. He called her his yellow rose of Texas. And he gave her a yellow rose bush on their 1st Anniversary.
They married on a Friday the 13th at the court house. Harry's father built a home on Weekly Bayou in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida. They moved in and remained there for 50 years before Harry passed in 2022.
During those 50 years they raised 2 children Heather Nichole and Harry Heath and 2 grandchildren Hayden and Cora.
She was a stay at home Mom for 22 years and then went back to teaching. She was a 5th grade teacher at Escambia Christian School for 10 years.
And then retired to be a full time grandmother. She chose their named to be Oma and Opa which is German for grandmother and grandfather.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She worshipped in the congregations in Pensacola at Innerarity Point and Leonard Street.
She and Harry loved to travel and went all over the world, traveling to 5 of the 7 continents. She had a bucket list of seeing the 7 Wonders and Natural Wonders of the World. She traveled to the Taj Mahal in India, the Great Wall of China, the Coliseum in Rome, the Aurora Borealis in Alaska and her final trip was to the Grand Canyon.
She loved gardening but did not have a green thumb. She would often say that "only the strong survive around me". Which she meant about her plants and in the greater scheme of life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, her sister Joanne, and her father and mother.
She is survived by her 2 children and their spouses, 2 grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews.
