Katherine Fazzi LaCourse passed away on April 26, 2020 in Pensacola, Fl. She lived a long and blessed life, raising four sons with her husband, Air Force SSgt. Joseph LaCourse. Born on January 31, 1939, and raised in Rome, New York, she graduated from Rome Free Academy. In her professional life, she worked for and retired from the Escambia County School Board in Florida. She always stayed engaged with her community and kept track of Pensacola’s growth. She loved animals and flowers greatly. Kathy also had a very sweet tooth and was nicknamed “the candy lady!”
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Morris and Yolanda Fazzi. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Michael (Dawn), Christopher, Gregory (Pam), and Paul LaCourse: her grandson, Joseph LaCourse and her granddaughter, Jackie Lee. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Leroy Brister of MS, and her brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Tracey Fazzi of Rochester, NY. She will be missed dearly by her family.
