Laura A Paulitska

Laura Paulitska, 79 was called home on 4/9/26 in Cantonment, Florida. Laura was predeceased by her husband Daniel Paulitska whom she shared fifty-six years of marriage with. Laura met Danny through a co-worker, and they wrote letters for 18 months while he was in Vietnam before marrying.

Laura was born in Passaic New Jersey to Walter and Nellie Biesiadecki (Surma)and grew up in Saddle Brook New Jersey. She worked at Popular Club Plan right after high school in accounts payable and later worked as a cook for Becton Regional school District and Hackensack Medical Center.

Laura loved singing, cooking, being with her family and her fur babies Scarlett, Max, Ollie, and Mr Hobbs. She always cooked with love and enjoyed seeing people enjoy her meals. She loved to sing and share stories of growing up and spending time with her favorite aunts, cousins and friends. She even sang at Radio City Musical Hall for a recital at 9 years old. Above all else Laura was a devoted mother to her only daughter Shannon, and nana to granddaughters Jordan and Kendall Paulitska-Bastian (William). She rarely missed a dance competition or school play and was always in the front row proudly cheering them on.

Laura will be remembered as a genuine, loving and kind friend, devoted wife, mother, and nana. She had a warm heart and generous spirit. She is survived by her daughter Shannon, granddaughters Jordan and Kendall, and her sister Renee.

Memorial services/celebration of life will be held at Oak Lawn funeral home date TBD.
