

Lucille Frances, 92, returned to her heavenly home on Monday, January 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator. Frances was born in San Antonio, TX in 1923. She married the man of her dreams, Freddie Garcia, in December of 1945. They were lovingly married for 57 years until his death in July of 2003. Frances and Freddie made Pensacola their home in 1959 where they raised their seven children.
Frances was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She made great contributions of time and energy to the St. John’s Altar Society. She will always be remembered for her active participation in the church Fall Festivals where she and Freddie would be found making and serving their famous tacos. Frances' favorite pastime was her time with family, avidly following the activities and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a source of much joy and laughter to her children and their respective spouses. The greatest accomplishment and joy of her life was her family by whom she is survived: daughter-in-law, Edie Garcia, Paul (Angela) Garcia, Belinda (Tim) Scarbrough, Anthony Garcia, Lucy (Chris) Sennett, Judy (Richard) La Bounty, Carlos (Pam) Garcia, along with her 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie Garcia, Sr. and son, Fred Garcia, Jr.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:30 pm. A Celebration of Her Life (Funeral Mass) will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John’s with Fr. John Licari presiding. Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery. A reception will follow the services.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her dedicated caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church or Pensacola Catholic High School.
