Margaret Ann “Peggy” Camus, nee Cavanaugh, 87, of Tampa, died of natural causes on March 23, 2024. She was born in New Orleans, LA in 1936, and moved to Pensacola at the age of five. Peggy graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School in 1955.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Steve who she married in 1957, her parents, John and Loretta Cavanaugh, brother Jack Cavanaugh, sisters Cleonise Wilson, Colleen Coburger and Rosemary (Dutchy) Mead. She is survived by her children Christopher, Timothy, Sheri (Rosemary), Angela Weathers, and Colin (Beth), 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A viewing will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home at 619 New Warrington Rd on April 12th at 9:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at 10:00. Peggy will be laid to rest with her loving husband Steve at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:30. A reception will be held at Oak Lawn after the gravesite ceremony.
