

Margaret "Maggie" Cash Steadman, a compassionate, beloved, and strong woman, passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on February 5, 1945, in Castleberry, Alabama, Maggie was a resident of Pensacola, Florida.
Maggie's early life was marked by her modeling hobby, where she developed a keen interest in fashion and beauty. Known for being strong and athletically fit, she carried these traits throughout her life.
Professionally, Maggie retired from a successful career in market research and development, having worked for esteemed companies such as Estee Lauder, DKNY, and Victoria's Secret. She was also a dedicated real estate investor for over 40 years and a financial investor.
Her personal interests were vast and varied. Maggie was a lifetime member and supporter of the Democrat party, holding strong core beliefs. She was an avid art and antique collector, a nutritionist who believed in the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and was physically strong and fit. Maggie maintained her fitness by walking daily until her health began to decline in her late 70s. She had a love for travel, an adventurous spirit, and enjoyed the beach and fine dining. A fashion enthusiast with a strong passion for dancing and nightlife, Maggie lived life with vibrant energy. Her love of dancing was combined with a vast array of musical interests, that made her the star of any event she attended.
Maggie's personal qualities left a lasting legacy. Her love of life was only outshined by her love for family. She had a big heart, often helping the needy and supporting charities. As a loving and strong mother, she raised two strong-willed boys and cherished the memory of her loving daughter who predeceased her.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, General and Ealer Mae Cash; her late husband, Dexter T. Steadman; her daughter, Dana Smirnow; her siblings, Larry Cash, Marshall Cash, Raymond Cash, Freeman Cash and Marion (Red) Cash, Anne Burkett, and Victoria Cash. Maggie is survived by her sons, Stephen R.J. Smirnow and Paul K. Pilone; brother, James Floyd Cash; sisters, Betty Lou Bennett; as well as four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Maggie will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and the love she shared with those around her.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL, at 1:00 PM, a celebration of life will be held immediately after at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow immediately after at Bayview Memorial Park.
