Marie J. Vogt

Originally from Chicago, in 1952 Marie and her husband Russell took the long journey with four children in tow and moved to Pensacola. With their love of the water, they set up their home on the inter-coastal waterway and soon after would have their fifth child.

Marie and Russell were devoted to their family and loved being surrounded by them. As the family grew, their house was the place to go on weekends to go boating, fish or play on the beach.

She was a woman of faith and a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she made many great friendships.

Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, sister and granddaughter.

She is survived by daughters, Lynne McCluskey (Fred), Betty Wise (Bob), Joanne Mize (Dan), Cathy Henderson (Harlan) and son, John Vogt (Sandy); 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Wesley Haven Village, Regency Hospice and Muriel Fingers Sitters.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Regency Hospice or the charity of your choice.

Services will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Visitation and Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. The family has requested a private graveside committal ceremony.
