Marion Louise Ware

Marion Louise Ware (née Dorfer), peacefully passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 97 in Matthews, North Carolina. Born on September 11, 1926, in Rochester, NY, she lived a long, full life and is now home with our Heavenly Father and her dear husband Joseph Ware.

Marion is survived by her three children, Rory (Mary) Brake, Deborah (Michael) Pusch, and Jonathan Brake. Four stepchildren, Anthony (Patty) Ware, Roberta (Robert) Thayer, Gillian Monell, and Graham Ware, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandsons.

Marion had a passion for gardening passed down to her by her father. Her home was always neat as a pin and she took pride in being independent up until her last year of life. She loved her family and could recite every one’s birthday.

The celebration of Marion's life will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel & Bayview Memorial Park on Saturday, August 24th. Visitation will commence at 1 pm, followed by a service at 2 pm. Donations can be made in her memory to Hospice Care of Charlotte, 7845 Little Ave, Charlotte, NC 28226.
