A bright star left this Earth to shine above us. Sweet Maxine, the girl with a heart of gold, passed away on July 23. She touched so many lives the short time she was with us and has left us all with a piece of our hearts missing. She was loyal, loving, funny, wild, straightforward, trusting, adventurous, beautiful inside and out, caring, generous, practical, fun, accepting, a bright, bright light for all of us. She had so many friends and family members who loved her more than she ever knew.
She leaves behind to pick up the pieces: her mother, Marcy Eskanos; sister, Lily Eskanos (Michael) Anderson; aunts, Lee Ann (Steve) Nelson, Lois Brown, Sara (Jeffrey) Rosen, Sandi (Andor) Schwartz, Karen Connelly; uncles, George Brown, Danny Eskanos and Robby Eskanos; nephew, Gavin Anderson; grandparents, Mel and Louise Eskanos; many cousins and so many friends of all ages and walks of life, notably her “Dad,” Ken Miller and best friend, Abbey Jackson.
The world, for those who knew her, will never be the same. The outpouring of love for Maxine to her family is a testament to the positive impact she has made on so many lives. She may be gone, but her light will shine on within all who had the great fortune to know her.
The family cordially invites friends to a visitation at Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., immediately followed by a service in the chapel and at her final resting spot.
