Michael A. Alvarez of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Friday, January 24, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born on November 12, 1946 in Pensacola, Florida where he grew up.
He graduated from Escambia High School in 1965.
Mike worked in heating and air conditioning from the age of 17 til retirement. He previously owned Gulf Coast Plumbing & Heating (along with partner, Joe Ward) and Michael Alvarez Heating & Air. He was always happiest with a rifle in his hands in a tree stand or with a snapper on the end of a fishing line in the Gulf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Luceum and Ambrose Alvarez.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Early Alvarez, his daughter Marla Alvarez Laramie (Elliot) of Madison, Alabama and son, Michael “Chad” Alvarez (Melisa) of Fairhope, Alabama. He also had five grandchildren, Sarah Laramie, Anna Laramie, Joseph Laramie, Brooklyn Woodside and Halle Kate Alvarez
The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and the 8th floor nurses at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital (especially Andrea) for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days
