

Myron “Dale” Teets Jr, 66, passed away on August 3, 2023, peacefully in the presence of the Lord. He was born in San Diego, CA and grew up on several different military installations around the country. He moved to Pensacola, Florida once his father retired in 1968. He graduated from J.M. Tate High in 1975. He met his wife Karen in 1977, while working in the automotive industry and later married in 1978.
Shortly after, Dale, Karen, and their daughter Christine moved to Houston, Texas, where he worked several refrigeration jobs. In 1984, after the birth of their second daughter April, they moved back to Pensacola, Florida to be with their family. In 1987, their third daughter, Kaitlin, was born, rounding out their family.
Dale worked for ICEE for 22 years. Dale spent many years volunteering with the Tate Band Boosters while his children were members and continued for many years after they graduated. Once he retired, he continued his father’s love for woodworking and created several different holiday yard decorations, as well as many projects Karen requested. He and Karen spent the later years traveling to Houston, TX and Hernando, MS to spend holidays and vacations seeing their children and grandchildren.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Myron and Clara Teets. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; sister, Debi Teets; children, Christine (Chuck) Carpenter, April Johnson, and Kaitlin (Anthony) Frederickson. He had eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Viewing is on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 1:00pm, with the service following at 2:00pm.
A private family burial for the family will take place on Monday.
