Nhung Nguyen

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhung of Pensacola, went to the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the age of 104. She was born on September 28, 1919 in Ba Ria, Vietnam, immigrated to the United States in the late 1970s living in Salem, NH and eventually Pensacola.

She was a strong woman of faith and was deeply involved in the Catholic community. Her generosity in time, spirit and material giving were well-known to all.

Two of her passions were planting and cooking. Her yard was constantly full of an assortment of vegetables, fruits and beautiful flowers. She enjoyed cooking for others and introducing people to Vietnamese cuisine.

Her devotion to family, friends, faith, her kindness, generosity, strength, resilience, wisdom and grace all have an enduring impact on her legacy.

Mrs. Nguyen is survived by her son Paul, granddaughter Ilene, and son in law Ron.

A visitation for Nhung will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A mass of christian burial will occur Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, 3295 Olde Barrancas Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, South Old Corry Field Road, Pensacola, FL 32507.
