

1934 – 2015
Patricia (Pat) Morris Latta, 81, of Gulf Breeze, FL, was called to her heavenly home May 15, 2015. She passed away at home with family and friends by her side.
Pat was born April 11, 1934 in Waynesburg, PA and was the third of the four daughters of Ethel and Irvin Morris. She married Ralph Latta February 9, 1953, and they celebrated their 62nd anniversary in February of this year. In 1968 they relocated from Monroeville, PA to Gulf Breeze, FL when Ralph was transferred to the new Westinghouse plant in Pensacola. Pat loved taking care of her family (especially her grandsons), visiting with friends, feeding the backyard birds and tending to her African Violets. Her favorite was hobby playing bridge. Her “Monday Bridge Club” has been together for 45 years and are many of her closest friends. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, positive attitude, and generous giving spirit.
Pat is survived by her husband Ralph F. Latta (Gulf Breeze) ; her children and their spouses, Patti and Donald Roark (Gulf Breeze), Ralph W. and Paula Latta (Budapest, Hungary) ; her grandchildren, LCDR Sean M Roark (Pensacola) and Devin S. Roark and his wife Kate (Cleveland, OH); her sister Norma Jean Whitlatch (Bradenton, FL) ; many nieces and nephews and many friends who are “family”.
She is preceded in death by her daughters Debra Jane and Cheryl Anne, who died at birth, her parents Irvin and Ethel Morris, and her sisters Delora (Dolly) Pessillo, and Margaret (Peggy) Ames.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Anita Westafer, Dr. Mounzer Soued, Gulf Breeze Hospital, Emerald Coast Hospice and Home Care Solutions for the excellent care given to Pat, and the family, during her extended illness. A special thank you is sent to Amy Marco and Terrye Tackas
Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2015 from 11:00-12:00 at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church followed by the service beginning at 12:00. There will be a reception immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall for family and friends. Interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park.
Flowers, gifts to Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice, or a simple prayer are all accepted and appreciated by the family.
