Joseph Randall Kirkland, “Randy”, a native of Pensacola, FL passed away at his home in Pensacola on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 at the age of 76. Randy was born in Crestview, FL on April 25th, 1948. He graduated from Milton High School and served in the US Navy Reserves. He went on to work for the City of Pensacola, where he became a supervisor and eventually retired to spend time with his beloved wife Pat. Randy was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching racers like Davey Allison, and Jeff Gordan. Every year he would gather friends and family to watch the Pensacola Five Flags Speedway Snowball Derby. He was a kind and gentle soul who would offer assistance to anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kirkland and his mother, Pearlie Mae Matthews.
He is survived by his son Michael Kirkland, his wife Wendy Kirkland; his granddaughter Kitana “Kit Kat” Schneider, her husband Bradly Schneider; his great grandchild Azlyn Schneider; his friends Betty Norris, Carl Cross, Allan Johnson, Doug Johnson, and countless others.
Doug Johnson, D.J. Norris, Bradly Schneider, Megan Vasquez, and Will Craver will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral services, officiated by Chaplain Dave Gibson, will be held Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The family will receive friends at the Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.
