Our Beloved Uncle, Raymond Schneidman, 92, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at home.
Uncle Raymond was born November 15, 1920 in Manhattan, New York to Henry Schneidman and Lucy Blackstone Schneidman. He was the Chief Purser for the Military Sealift Command, retiring after 29 years of distinctive service. Uncle Raymond was active with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, serving as the Exalted Ruler from 1989 until 1990 and served as the head administrator for the volunteer staff at Sacred Heart Hospital for 10 years.
Uncle Raymond is survived by his niece, Sally Stalzer; nephews, Robert and Louis Schneidman; 3 grandnieces and grandnephews; 3 great grandnieces and greatnephews.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 01, 2013 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
Interment was held at Bayview Memorial Park.
