He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his loving children, Wayne Urbaniak and Dianne Garner (James); adoring grandchildren, Jody Foster, Michael Brown (Jason), Patti Frost and Michael Urbaniak; precious great grandchildren, Brandon Foster, Heather Hill (Rance) and Baleigh Brown. He is also survived by his brother, Ralph Urbaniak and sister, Voncile Echevarria (David).
Roscoe served in WW II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from Whiting Field civil service.
While in the Navy he served as a cook. He continued his passion for cooking throughout his life. Family and friends never left his home on an empty stomach. He loved to fish, throwing a cast net off the Bob Sikes Bridge; he loved sharing extra fish with friends and neighbors. Roscoe was famous with the family for his fried mullet, hush puppies and seafood gumbo.
He was an avid viewer of game shows, especially, The Price Is Right with host Bob Barker and The Wheel of Fortune.
The family would like to thank all the loving staff at Your Life of Pensacola and Covenant Hospice during his battle with Alzheimer’s.
The Celebration of Life for Roscoe will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
