Sarah Ann Battaglia, 43, of Pensacola, Florida passed away in Pensacola, Florida, on January 27, 2025. She was born in Panama City, Florida, on June 24, 1981 to Edward and Alana Battaglia. Sarah attended the University of West Florida where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Archeology and a Master of Arts in Anthropology with her career focus in the environmental industry.
Sarah was a wonderful mother, daughter, and sister. She was an avid gardner and great cook with a love of stray animals. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Sarah was preceded in death by Alfonso and Stella Battaglia, her paternal grandparents, and Lester and Dorothy Welch, her maternal grandparents. Sarah is survived by John Edward Fortson, her son, Edward and Alana Battaglia, her parents, and Laura Battaglia, her sister.
