Mrs. Shirley J Hill

She met her husband, Don, at the auto races in Detroit and they married in October 1959 and moved to Pensacola, Florida. Her heart always remained in her beloved state of Michigan. She and Don were married 66 years and were blessed with two children.

Shirley was employed for many years by J. H. Hinson Builders.

She was a board member, secretary and trip planner for Panhandle Senior Travelers. She was also a member of Baldwin Senior Travelers. She was a charter member and former secretary of Pine Woods Presbyterian Church. Shirley was involved in the Docent Program at the Zoo in Gulf Breeze and a member of Leisure Learning with UWF. She also enjoyed music and line dancing for many years and she loved animals; especially her cats.

She and Don traveled all over the world with much enthusiasm and enjoyment.

She is survived by her husband: Donald Hill; her daughter: Becky Hill Martin (Paul); her granddaughter: Hallie Martin; her son: Matthew Hill (Tammi) and granddaughters: Jennifer and LaTasha and their families.

Graveside services will be held in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
