It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa Pilcher Jordan, born in Marianna, FL on October 15, 1944, to Woodfin and Geraldine Pilcher. She peacefully parted from her earthly home on February 18, 2025 at the age of 80. Teresa married Charles Edward Jordan on May 22, 1965 and they remained together for 40 blissful years until his passing in 2005. The two built a beautiful home together in Pensacola, FL where they raised their two sons.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Woodfin and Geraldine Pilcher, her sister, Gerrie Pilcher Wikle, and her husband Charles Jordan.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles Patrick and Brian Edward, their wives Tina and Nicole, and her beloved grandchildren Taylor, Payton, and Mason. Teresa also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends who were deeply and forever touched by her kindness and warmth.
Throughout her life, Teresa was known for her loving heart, unwavering support for her family, and her deep commitment to her friends. She created a lasting impact on everyone she met with her generosity, sense of humor, and devotion to those she loved. She had a fierce loyalty to the Auburn Tigers and spent many, many years with her husband, two sons and countless friends cheering in Jordan-Hare Stadium. She also created lasting memories with her family and friends at their second home on Lake Martin.
If you were to ask Teresa to name her greatest accomplishment in life, she would tell you it was her two boys, Patrick and Brian. She was a selfless, protective and fiercely devoted mother who beamed with pride when she talked about them. She also made a lasting impact on many of her son’s friends, who often referred to Teresa as their second mom, or simply, Mama Jordan.
Teresa’s resonating presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is in the arms of Jesus, and is rejoicing with her Mom and Dad, her sister, and her husband Charles.
A celebration of Teresa’s life will be scheduled in the coming weeks and the date, time and location will be provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Teresa was a contributor for many, many years, or the Dementia Society of American, in honor of Teresa.
