Vicki Lynn Garlock passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 78. She was born the eldest of four children to Roy J. and Lois Garlock, in South Sioux City, Nebraska. She is survived by brothers Terry L. Garlock, James R. Garlock and Charles D. Garlock, and nieces & nephews.
Vicki lived a life of service. As a Registered Nurse, she achieved a high level of responsibility in Cardiac Care and Emergency Room services at Baptist, Sacred Heart and West Florida hospitals in Pensacola. Long ago, she developed an EMT/Paramedic training course for PJC (Pensacola State College), and taught students in that course for over 20 years.
After her retirement, Vicki’s life of service was not yet complete. She assumed gradually increasing caregiver duties for her mother, Lois, suffering from dementia. That burden took its toll on Vicki, like it does with so many caregivers.
All her life Vicki was a faithful Christian. Even when she was unable to attend church, she served her Lord well by serving others, and she richly deserves a heavenly reward.
A celebration of life will be held on October 11, 2025 at 11am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL.
