She was born on February 4, 1954 to the late Orlo and Arlene Simmons. She grew up in Minnesota and Iowa, then spent her adult life as an Army spouse traveling the United States and abroad. She has called Pensacola home since 1992.
Vickie had a love of hobbies, from puzzles to coloring to any kinds of arts and crafts. Don’t get her started with and upholstery gun! Her love of creating was evident throughout her home. Going to the beach, road trips across the country to visit family, cooking, or sitting in her rocking chair soaking up the sun was where she was most often found.
She is survived by her two children: Jenni Davila and Jason Davila; five grandchildren: Seth Williams, Trent Williams, Kamden Brian, Julieta Davila, and Emmanuel Davila; and her siblings: Diane Simmons and Randy Baker. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Jerald Simmons, Larry Simmons, and Lael Simmons.
There will be a memorial service in Pensacola, FL on Tuesday, September 16 at 2:00 P.M. at Eastern Gate Memorial - 1985 W 9 Mile Rd., Pensacola, FL 32534.
