

Virginia L. Lipham passed away on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at the age of 101. She was born on December 1, 1923 in LaGrange, GA to Byrd and Ida Cross. She had one younger brother, Byrd A. Cross, Jr.
She grew up in LaGrange, Ga where she met and married Kenneth Lipham on September 6th, 1941. Shortly after, they moved to Pensacola, FL where they made it their home.
Virginia was a faithful member of Warrington Baptist Church for over 70 years, where she was also the Nursery Coordinator for over 40 years. She was always involved in ministries in her church. She joined Myrtle Grove Baptist Church 7 years ago.
After Kenneth's passing in 2010, she became a member of The Joy Singers, visiting the local nursing homes weekly with singing and sharing her faith. She continued until her health would no longer allow it.
Virginia is survived by her son, David (Cathy) Lipham, daughter, Susan (Michael) Burleson, son, Bruce (Wendy) Lipham. She has 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Erlene Shelnutt of Ocala, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
Virginia will always be remembered by her gentle kind sweetness. The biggest loves in her life were her Lord, family, friends, crossword puzzles, and the Atlanta Braves.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL.
A visitation for Virginia will be held on Monday, September 15th at 10:00 AM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, with a funeral ceremony to begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest immediately following her services, at Bayview Memorial Park.
