Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Rueben and Mary Hopkins, his father and mother-in-law who were like parents to him, Odis and Jean Morris, two grandsons Brandon Kyle Hopkins and Jamie Lee Horn II, two brothers and two sisters.
He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory his beloved wife of 56 years, Bronnie (B.J.) Hopkins. His daughter Michele (Joshua) Tolle, his son, Wayne Hopkins, his grandchildren Danielle (Cody) Claytor, Belle Hopkins, Cody (Kris) Horn, Blake Hopkins and Harper Hopkins.
His three great-grandsons, Aidan Hyler, Kai Claytor, and Leo Claytor. His three brothers, two sisters, and 3 sister-in-laws and 2 brother-in-laws who loved him as a brother, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wayne was drafted into the Army and served from 1968-1970. He spent the rest of his career in the Mortgage and Finance business, retiring from Navy Federal in 2015.
His family was the light of his life. He spent his entire life teaching, listening, and coaching his children, grandchildren, and great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hopkins, Odis Morris, Cody Horn, Blake Hopkins, Joshua Tolle, Cody Claytor, Aidan Hyler and Kai Claytor. Honorary pallbearers will be Kris Gaudrault and Leo Claytor.
Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway is entrusted with arrangements.
