William Ascroft, Jr.

William “Bill” Ascroft, Jr., 88, of Pensacola Beach, Florida, died on Sunday, November 11, 2018. He was born on February 02, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to William Ascroft, Sr. and Esther Alice Couper Ascroft.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Winifred A. “Sue” Ascroft for 64 years. He was the loving father of Linda (the late William) Ryan, Michael (Beth) Ascroft, Laurie (Frank) Minch, and Jane Ascroft (the late James Dwyer); proud and devoted Papa of Matthew (Ariel) Ascroft, Sean (Stephanie) Ascroft and Michael Ryan (Elizabeth Rosenthal); caring great grandfather of Conor, Brynn, Colton, and Ailynn; fond brother of the late Virginia (Earl) Pote and brother-in-law of John (the late Arlene) Burke. He is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was a longtime friend of Bill W.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 08, 2018 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel followed by inurnment at Bayview Memorial Park. The inurnment will be followed by a reception at the chapel.
