William M. St. John “Bill” passed away on July 02, 2012.
Bill served in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service, where he was a mail carrier, after 34 years of service. He then worked for Wal Mart as a people greeter starting at the opening of the Davis Hwy. store and ending his career 17 years later at the Mobile Hwy. location.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Howell and Philomena St. John. On December 24, 2008 he lost the love of his life after 55 years of marriage, Jacquelyn St. John.
Bill touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his special friends the Wilkersons, the Sauthers, and the Kaminskis.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 06, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Flaherty as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday at the church.
