Yvonne Elaine Urbaniak

1923 – 2013

Yvonne Elaine Urbaniak was called to Heaven for her wings on Monday, April 08, 2013.

She was born in Repton, AL, August 28, 1923 to Mose and Vida Grant. Her family later moved to Pensacola. She graduated from Pensacola High School, June 4th, 1943 in the morning and later that afternoon married her sweetheart, Roscoe. She worked for SH Kress, Malone Bakery, Mangels Dress Store and retired from C&P Bank. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her Sunday job, Sunday School Secretary, at Brownsville Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her smile, traditional Sunday dinners, cakes and mayonnaise biscuits.

Her parents, Mose and Vida Grant; brothers, Hoover and Gerald Grant; sons-in-law, Danny Foster and Larry Highsmith, preceded Yvonne in death.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Roscoe; son, Wayne; daughter, Dianne (James) Garner; grandchildren, Jody Foster, Michele Brown and Michael Urbaniak; great grandchildren, Brandon and Heather Foster, and Baleigh Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Dr. John Pavlus officiating.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jody Foster, Brandon Foster, Michael Urbaniak, Jerry Dyar, Ralph Urbaniak and Ricky Hendrixs.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the funeral home.
