Adele Mary (Ksycki) Arnold, 86, of Peoria, IL, passed away on February 5, 2026, at her daughter's house in Peoria, IL. Born on October 4, 1939, in Peoria, Illinois, she was the daughter of Frank and Helen (Pocius) Ksycki.
Adele attended grade school at St. Boniface, Peoria, IL, and high school at the Academy of Our Lady, Peoria, IL. She taught and was the head of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program at St. Vincent DePaul for many years as well as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Vincent DePaul where she was a member for many years.
She was married to Richard Oscar Arnold, Sr., and had four children. Richard Arnold, Jr., Angela (Arnold) Stockman, Diane (Arnold) Kruzick, and Daniel Arnold.
Adele's faith in God was a model of Christianity. She was part of many bible study groups and was the family's champion when there was a death in the family. She had exceptional acceptance of mortality and was always so helpful through these difficult times. She prepared many eulogies over the years that were personal, loving, heartwarming, and funny.
She loved the color pink and wore it often. She adored her children and grandchildren and was always there for them. She logged thousands of hours babysitting, chauffeuring, attending sporting events, and dance recitals. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, most often telling them all about her beloved grandchildren.
Adele is also survived by her brother and sisters and their spouses, James (Patricia) Ksycki, Ann (Kenneth) Ensor, and Margaret Ksycki Maroon; and many beloved nieces and nephews; as well as nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rosemary Ksycki Dresbach, Helen Ksycki Johnson, Ruth Cecilia Ksyski; and daughter, Diane Arnold Kruzick.
