She was born on November 13, 1928 in Huntsville AL to Willie Lee Higdon and Ella Mae Cross-Higdon.
Surviving are her 9 children, Lynda (Brad) Johnson of Mesa, AZ; Randy (Claudia) Wilson of Mackinaw, IL; Colleen (Kevin) Goggil of King George, VA; Carey (Victoria) Wilson of Las Vegas, NV; Steven (Tiffany) Wilson of Rose Hill, NC; Cathy Reckert of Chillicothe, IL; Mark Wilson of Riverside, CA; Ann Wilson of Peoria, IL; and Scott (Teresa) Wilson of Raeford, NC.
She is also survived by one sister Peggy (Bill) Kircher, brothers Dan (Mary Ann) Higdon and Ronald (Kathy) Higdon, sister-in-law Laverne Higdon; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Two brothers, Bill Higdon and John Higdon, preceded her in death.
Fran, also known as “Sis”, was a kind, gentle, soft spoken person who loved being with her family, and enjoyed reading and sewing. She especially enjoyed her grandbabies.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Februay 15, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 W. Willow Knolls Dr., Peoria, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
