Born October 25, 1937 in Peoria, she was a daughter to the late Clyde R. and Mary Marguerite Bishop-Gunther. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Uarco, Inc. Arvella was an active member of The Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church, and will always be remembered for her craftiness.
She is survived by one brother Clifford (Patty) Gunther of Peoria; two grandchildren: George and Sarah; daughter-in-law Kay E. Speed of Kansas, and four nieces.
Arvella was preceded in death by her son Steven D. Smith.
Visitation will take place on Thursday May, 01, 2014 from 12:00 PM until time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 North University, in Peoria. Pastor Thomas Eckhardt will officiate, and burial will follow in Swan Lake Memory Gardens Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made in Arvella’s memory to The Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church or to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
