

Peoria – Beverly A. Lofgren, 88, of Peoria, IL passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Manor Court in Peoria. She was born April 26, 1928 in Toronto, IA to Edmond and Eleanor Baker. Beverly married Richard D. Lofgren on July 5, 1947 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving are: her three sons; James (Karen) Lofgren of Bushnell, IL, John (Laura Evans) Lofgren of Metamora, IL, and Jay (Dana) Lofgren of Kingwood, TX, seven grandchildren: Tim, Chet, Adam, Cali, Chase, Cody, and Matt, two great granddaughters; Brooke and Brenna, and her sister Bonnie (Dick) Brown of Peoria, IL. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Jerry Lofgren, and her sister Bobbie Miller.
Beverly was a volunteer who loved to help people. Throughout her life she worked with the American Red Cross and as an election judge in Peoria County. Her hobbies and interests included bowling leagues, traveling the world with her husband, and spending summers on their house boat, the Lofty J, on Lake Shelbyville. Beverly was a homemaker, Republican, and volunteer who will be deeply missed.
The family of Beverly would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Manor Court at Liberty Village who took such great care of Beverly over the past eight years.
Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
