Born in Chicago, Illinois, February 9, 1943, to James Hayes and Margaret Singer, she married Keith Talkington in Chicago, Illinois in 1967. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, William Hayes of Springfield, Missouri and her three children, Dawn Curtis, of Riverside, Iowa, Brian Talkington, of Brooklyn, New York, and James Talkington, of Somerville, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Amy, Mia, and Elia.
Blanche was a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God, a missionary in Japan and Pakistan, and a Spirit-filled woman with a deep prayer life. Many called her their spiritual mother.
Funeral services will be held at First Assembly of God Church, 4020 North Brandywine Drive, Peoria, Illinois, on Friday, August 25, with visitation at 10:00-10:45 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
A private burial will take place at Swan Lake Cemetery in Peoria.
