He was born January 14, 1966 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Billy and Judy (Taylor) Wright. He married Brandi Mahurin on May 27, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Krystle (Mitch) Peters of Broken Arrow, OK; a grandson, Tyler Peters; a brother, Russell Coats of Tuscaloosa, AL; mother-in-law, Joy Mahurin, brother-in-law, David Mahurin, two nieces, several cousins and aunts; his dear friends, the Hibben Family, his beloved American Eskimo dog, Sophie, Chihuahua Houdi and four cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Justin Wright and father-in-law, Dean Mahurin.
Brian attended Faith Baptist Church in Milwaukee, WI, and worked as a Machine operator for many years before retiring. He was an avid knife collector and a member of the Badger Knife Club. Brian was a big Sylvester Stallone fan and his favorite movies included all the Rambo and Rocky movies. He was also a big fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football. Brian was strong in his Christian faith, which helped him overcome many of the adversities in his life. He will be remembered for his big heart, generous nature and his willingness to help others.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021 with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, with live stream available on the Davison-Fulton Facebook page. Cremation will be accorded following the service and a burial of the urn will be at Smithville Cemetery at a later date. Due to COVID, the family will be observing social distancing requirements. Masks are mandatory.
