

She was born on December 28, 1956 in Peoria to Donald and Rosemary (Stenger) Duley.
She married Robert Charles "Chuck" McCollum on September 20, 1980 in Elmwood, IL. He survives.
Charlene is also survived by two sons, Chad (Jodi) of Scottsdale, AZ and Scott of Sheridan, WY; one granddaughter; Finley of Scottsdale, AZ; four brothers, Steve (Sandy) Duley of Pulaski, WI, Ron (Kathy Thomas) Duley of Volcano, CA, Tom (Pat) Duley of Lexington, IL and Gary (Tammy) Duley of Hanna City; sisters-in-laws, Roxanna (Ed Smith) Kirby of Peoria and Tina (Tom) Kauffman of Charlotte, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Cindy Duley and her beloved boxer, Chet.
Charlene served as the Executive Assistant to the President at Maui Jim for 45 years. Charlene and Chuck enjoyed traveling overseas and to many U.S. destinations. No more important than Wyoming and Arizona to see their sons and beloved granddaughter. Innumerable memories were made over nearly 40 years of annual trips to South Haven, Michigan with the Baumgardner family.
Charlene thoroughly enjoyed volunteering for numerous agencies, including Gift of Sight, OSF volunteers, Maui Jim Children’s Home Golf Tournament and sewing masks for the local cancer center during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Most importantly, Charlene’s love of family and faith in God carried her through her nearly 17 month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A private family graveside will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held from 11:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Raber's.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Home of Peoria.
