Charles Dwight Best

He was born in Mt. Vernon, Tennessee on October 6, 1946 to Earl and Ruby (Isbell) Best. He married Diane Whitehead in Peoria, Illinois on June 22, 1968.

He is survived by three sons: Benjamin Best, Andrew (Molly) Best, and David (Bekah) Best all of Peoria, IL; and one sister Shirley; also 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, and parents.

He worked at Caterpillar for 39 years as a machinist and quality control inspector.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 2, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Karl Eckhoff will officiate.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
