Charlie Mae Williams

She was born on December 14, 1926 in Wynne, AR to Johnny Tad and Willie Bell (Mosley) Dailey. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Maxine McCampbell; two sons, Stephen Coates and Ricky Miller; four grandchildren, Henry "Hank" Waller Jr., Harold "Punkin" McCampbell Jr., Twila Waller, and Terrence Waller; four sisters, Lagertha Dailey, Ethel B. Edmonds, Daisey Bynum and Brenda Gaines; and five brothers, Bob Dailey, Cleo Dailey, Johnny Dailey, Floyd Dailey, and Claude Hamer.

Surviving are her seven children, Celena Ann Stenson, Willie (Linda) Coates, Anthony (Brenda) Coates, Renee Wadley, Charette Poppy Wright, Twila Jo Williams and Joseph Williams III all of Peoria; five step-children, Jackie Lee Williams, JoAnn (Greg) Young, Glenda (J.T.) Donelson, James Miller Jr., and Donald Miller; two siblings, Doris Jones and Preston Lee (Ruthie) Hamer; special grandchild, Trina R. Stenson Stuckey; Special niece, Gail Waller; 47 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Charlie Mae owned and operated Charlie Mae's Restaurant, then worked for several area cleaning services and then she worked as a caregiver and foster parent for many years. She was a member of Church of the Living God, Grace Baptist Church and Christian Family Church all in Peoria and was also a member of the Peter H. Clark, Elks Lodge, where she was a past Daughter Ruler. Charlie Mae enjoyed fishing, gardening, going to garage sales and estate sales.

A service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church of the Living God on Lake Ave., in Peoria. Service will streamed on the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel Facebook page. Entombment will follow at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
