Charlotte Marie Morris

Charlotte Marie Morris, age 92, of Peoria, formerly of Tiskilwa, Princeton and Yorkville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 7:45 p.m. at her residence at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria.

She was born April 2, 1933 in Victoria, IL to Clayton R. and Iona (Strunk) Joiner. She married James Donald Morris on June 10, 1951 in Tiskilwa, IL. He survives along with three children: Michael (Jane) Morris of Princeton, David (Jamie) Morris of Crystal Lake, IL, and Jill Adkins of Peoria, as well as eight grandchildren: Aaron, Laura, Eliza, Parick, Nicholas, Taylor, Drew and Megan. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Oscar, Hattie, Imogen, Theo, Mac, Nellie, and Reese, and three brothers: Thomas Joiner of Utica, IL, Ted (Norma) Joiner of Tiskilwa, and Joseph (Rebecca) Joiner of Seymour, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sara Klaus, one grandson, Nathan Adkins, and nine siblings: Robert, Maxine, Nadine, Hobert, William, Barbara, Max, Jerry, and Susan.

Charlotte was a meticulous, loving wife and mother with a quick sense of humor and an entrepreneurial spirit that began early in childhood and continued until her retirement at age 90. She was a self-taught enrolled agent tax accountant, and simultaneously owned and operated both a tax service and a travel agency.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria on March 21, 2026 with a fellowship gathering at 10:30 A.M and memorial service at 11:30 A.M.
