Clara Davis

Clara L. Davis E.Peoria, IL Clara L. Davis, 79, of East Peoria, passed away at 1:19 pm on Monday, July 16, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was born February, 14, 1933 in Mt. Pulaski, IL to Albert and Anna (Huebner) Ryan. She married Harlen A. Davis on August 7, 1953 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2004. Her parents, one infant daughter, Kimberly Davis, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are her two children, Doug (Cindy) Davis of East Peoria and Debbie (Greg) Luke of Metamora, seven grandchildren, Brian (Heather) Davis, Kristin (Andy Veerman) Davis, Kevin (Erin) Davis, Max Schwarze, Erin (Matt) White, Stacy (Ty) McCullough, Kyle (Siara) Rummel and 12 3/4 great-grandchildren. Clara was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time on the river with her family and her late husband Harlen. She was a member of the East Peoria Boat club and enjoyed boating and camping. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the angels of Methodist Home Health Care and Methodist Hospice. Their care and support has brought comfort to the family and allowed Clara to peacefully rejoin with her beloved Harlen. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from5 to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A service will be on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00 am with Pastor Dave Troyer officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Methodist Hospice Program or the East Peoria Boat Club.
