She was born May 2, 1950 in Olney, IL to Jerry and Virginia Mahan. She married Loren W. Benson on February 14, 1993 in Peoria. He survives along with her mother, Virginia Mahan. They shared six children:
Michelle (Daniel) Skelton their three sons
Jamie Arthur and his daughter
James (Nicole) Skelton and their four children
Jason (Viridiana) Skelton and their five children
Jen (Kellie) Creamer with their son
Weston (Kaitlyn) Holt and their son
Bob Creamer and his three sons
Ray, Jayden and Corbin
Geoff (Jaime) Creamer and their three children
Alaina, Maelle and Tj
Carey (Ali) Benson and their two sons
Santana and Rio
Jacob Benson
She had three siblings:
Dave (Michele) Mahan and their three children and their four grandchildren
Micheal (Janice) Mahan both preceded in death had two daughters and their nine grandchildren
Kim (Joey) Goodman their four children and seven grandchildren
Cindy enjoyed going to church, bowling, friends and spending as much time with her family as possible.
There will be a remembrance service held in July 2026.
