Peoria, IL- David McDaniel, 62, of Peoria, passed unexpectedly at 4:47 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria. Davidwas born February 23, 1951 in Sterling, IL to James V. and Norma (Vaughn) McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Heis survived by his two children, Angela (Earl) Segler and Mark David McDaniel both of East Peoria, five grandchildren, one brother Michael (LeAnne) McDaniel of Los Angeles, CA, and his life partner of 35 years Jerry Bock. David graduated from Sterling High School and Sauk Valley College with a degree in Radiography. He had a wonderful, outgoing personality, was always happy, was a friend to all, and would help anyone he could. He was a nursing home administrator, last working for Managed Care at the Heights Rehabilitation Care Center. David was a perfect leader, always helping the people who worked for him. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
