

David B. “Duddy” Oxenfeldt, 97, of Peoria, passed away at 8:23 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born April 28, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Blanche Oxenfeldt. He married Marilyn Miller in Peoria on Dec. 6, 1941. She preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his son, Mark; 1 brother and 4 sisters. Surviving are his granddaughter, Devon Oxenfeldt; grandson, Patrick Joseph Oxenfeldt; nephews, Dr. Barton (Vivian) Friedman, Bruce (Marlene) Zinman; nieces, Gail Green, Jill (Jerry) Cooper, Marcia (Carl) Inselberg; great-nephew, Robert (Mallory) Inselberg; and great-great-nephew, Eli. David was a former Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a 50 year member of Joseph Robbins Lodge. He was a member of Mohammed Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Peoria, and Agudas Achim Synagogue. He was a former partner in Sherry Products of Peoria and later was partners with his wife in Marko Gifts of Peoria. His son worked with them and later took over the company. Graveside Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi Michael Arsers officiating. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
