Delores Jackson Groves, 76, of Peoria, passed away on Friday June 16, 2023 at her home. She was born on January 10, 1947 in Newport, Arkansas, a daughter of Tom and Lois M. (Watson) Jackson. She married Charles S. Groves on December 31, 1984 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are her two children, Ebony Groves of Peoria and Malcolm Groves of St. Louis, Missouri; her mother, Lois Jackson of Peoria; three brothers, Henry Jackson and Louis Jackson, both of Peoria and Jimmy Jackson of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her father; brother, Thomas Jackson; and sister, Luella Lacy.
She worked in accounting for Caterpillar, Inc., for 32 years, retiring in 2000.
Delores' funeral service will be private. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
