Diana was a homemaker. She loved to be with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time outside in the sun or by the pool. Her love of shopping for jewelry and clothes has not gone unnoticed. In regard to Diana’s home, she never knew a stranger. Diana had an open door policy for anyone to talk about life over a hot meal. Many gathered to enjoy her father’s family pizza recipe, and the family-favorite homemade chicken and noodles.
Diana was a proud member of the Patriot Club.
She is survived by her Children Larry Jr (Melissa) Smith of Marquette Heights, Lisa (Rob McFarlen) of Marquette Heights, Lonnie (Beth Egan) of Pekin and Cecil Smith of Peoria. She cherished her Grandkids, Alexis Hoyle, Nicholas Smith, Danielle Smith, Whitney Ehrat, Cahner Tittle, and Jaydenn Smith, 7 great grand kids.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard Jordan, her baby brother, and several aunts and uncles.
Diana found her greatest joy and proudest moments in her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Transitions Hospice and Carle Methodist ICU for their care and compassion. A special thank you to Laura Henry, without all your faithful help, we could not have taken care of Diana and fulfilled her wishes to be in the comfort of her own home with those she loved most. Amy Hull, thank you for being there to the end with us.
