Donald was the son of the late William Eli Davis and Beatrice Bell Davis.
He is survived by his daughter, Kerrie Davis, and his granddaughter, Melanie Davis. He also leaves behind his brother, James London, and sister-in-law, Carol London.
Donald served his country with honor in the United States Air Force, working on the electrical system of the F-101 Voodoo jet. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to the Peoria Police Department, where he worked in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Vice, and Professional Standards, and he was a school liaison officer at Woodruff High School. He retired at the rank of Lieutenant in 1995 after 30 years of service.
A man of many interests, Donald loved to travel and was an avid racquetball player. His passion for the sport led him to represent the United States numerous times in the World Police and Fire Games.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton and burial will take place at Swan Lake Memory Gardens immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
