Donna Jean Chapman, 71, of Peoria, passed away at 6:30 pm Monday, April 27, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria. She was born May 27, 1943 in Peoria, the daughter of Harry and Betty Platt Backus. Donna is survived by her sons, Scott (Danielle) Chapman, and Jeffrey Chapman both of Peoria; four grandchildren, Amber Warner, Zachery Chapman, Shaynah Woody, and Quinten Cremeens; and one sister, Beverly (Russell) Fitzpatrick of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Sandra Bartley. Donna worked as a teacher’s aide at District 325 until her retirement. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate. Inurnment will be at Parkview Cemetery.
