Donna Jean Rice, 82 of Peoria, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born September 26, 1933 in Canton, IL to Theodore and Minnie (Grubb) Farris. She married Thomas L. Rice on February 17, 1950 in Peoria and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2000. Also preceding in death were 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Surviving are her children, Isabelle McMahan, Harry (Cheryl) Rice, and Carolyn Pine, both of Peoria; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; her brother, Clifford “Little Bub” Farris of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews. Donna was a cafeteria worker in the canteen at Bradley University and Hiram Walker’s Distillery. She loved flower and tomato gardening and playing bingo. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
