Dora J. Jackson

She was born July 22, 1954 in Peoria to Albert and Maggie E. (Liston) Jackson. They precede her in death along with one brother, Jimmy Jackson and one sister, Lillie House.

Survivors include three daughters: Chandra Jackson of Peoria, Marvis Lynn Jackson of St. Louis, MO, Tiara Jackson of Peoria, one granddaughter, whom she raised, Moriah Jackson of Peoria, four sisters: Mamie Jackson, Emily Jackson, Maggie Jackson of Peoria, Kathy Winston of Jackson, MS, six brothers: T.J. (Roberta) Jackson, Malcolm (Verdie) Jackson, Eddie Jackson, Joe Jackson, John (Barbara) Jackson, Albert (Karen) Jackson of Peoria, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dora was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sharon Elms Nursing Home, and worked for District 150 in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria.

Funeral services will be Wednesday April 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Elder Henry Bolden II will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Dora’s children’s education fund at Members Choice CU.
