

She was born June 24, 1922 in Seatonville, IL to George and Zelma (Biolchini) Lorenzi. She married Max Blanco, Jr. Aug. 16, 1941 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville, IL. They moved to Peoria in 1946. He passed away Oct. 19, 1988 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include three daughters: Connie Zarley of Peoria, Patti (Jon) Ruge of Peoria, Beve (Richard) Veltman of Dunlap, two sons: Larry (Christine) Blanco of Littleton, CO, Michael (Barbara) Blanco of Peoria, sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria. She was a long time member of the Peoria Women’s 18-hole Golf League, serving as President for two terms. She was a member of the Peoria Emblem Club and the Newman Senior Golf League. She was a member and served as President of Omicron Sigma Chi Sorority and volunteered for many charities.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday May 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday May 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Additional visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria.
