Dorothy Berniece Krider Wrestler of Peoria died at home on Monday, March 28, 2016.She was born Feb. 22, 1923, to Bruce and Winifred Krider, and married Frank Wrestler in 1940. Surviving are two sons, Dennis and Steven (Janet) Wrestler; a daughter, Linda; her grandchildren, Ethan Ferrari and Lisa Woiwode; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Wesley Bantz. Preceding her in death were her husband; daughter, Rose Bantz; grandson, Steven Bantz; four sisters; and two brothers.Dorothy had many adventures during her life; some of them were riding an elephant, visiting komodo dragons in Singapore, voyaging in a hot air balloon, cuddling a mountain lion and rafting the Colorado River. She loved the wind on her face as she skied in Telluride every winter for thirty years, but she loved being home best, where she enjoyed gardening and especially reading. Dorothy was a loving, intelligent and gentle being.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, with Pastor Danny Caulkins officiating.
