Edward M Barrett

He was born October 31, 1927 in Peoria, IL to Edward and Ethel (Sherwood) Barrett. He married Wanda Jean Agee on August 8, 1948 in Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Marla Joplin and one sister, Mary.

Surviving are his wife Wanda of Peoria, their two children, Brian (Joan) Barrett of Brimfield and Jana (Robert) Anton of Peoria, five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Nathan, Sarah and Beth Ann and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, James (DeMova) Barrett of Ventura, CA and two sisters, Patricia Arrowood and Catherine Caldwell both of Pekin.

Bud served in the U.S. Army until being discharged and then worked as a Machine Operator for 30 years with Caterpillar Inc. before retiring in 1975. Bud was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and his annual trips to Florida with his wife.

A visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A service will be on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
